Just like your GPS helps you find your way, our new Industrial Coatings Selection Guide is here to help you navigate the wide range of coating solutions. Last year, our Resins and Additives teams in North America teamed up to create a joint product brochure for industrial, automotive, and wood coatings. With clearly defined sections, this brochure will help you discover our innovative products and find the right materials for your specific needs. Whether you’re looking for durability, performance, or visual appeal, think of this guide as your helpful navigator for making smart decisions with confidence.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Kyle Flack, the Technical Manager for Resins, who played a significant role in the success of the Industrial Coatings Selection Guide. In our discussion, we explored the core message of the brochure and highlighted the key features that offer benefits to users.
What do you believe is the core message of the brochure and why is this important?
The message is that firstly, our North American team offers a broad portfolio for many different end applications, including waterborne, solventborne, 100% solids, and energy curables and the additives to go with those systems. The secondary message is that we are combined front on the full formulations with our additives team. This messaging is important because the connectivity on needs from both additives and resins customer bases need to be aligned. Our growth and success is more fruitful working together.
What are the key features or aspects highlighted in the brochure that you think are most beneficial?
Some of the features included in the brochure that are new are 1) headings pages to the sections by chemistry which include blurbs and pictures or graphs on performance of highlight products (e.g. waterborne has specific call outs for sustainable product performance highlights in the use of a 1K Acronal PRO 770 (na) and a 2K Basonol AC 2120 W and Basonat isocyanate topcoat to achieve solventborne corrosion performance) and 2) expansion on the key markets indicated where the products are best suited, recommended, or not recommended through the use of a bubble rating system. These pages are intended to offer some clarity and drive discussion with the broad customer base we serve.
As you navigate through the selection guide, you'll find valuable insights that will help you make informed decisions for your projects. Whether you're looking for specific materials or just want to learn more about the options available, this guide is designed to be your go-to resource.
